Club Train Team

Age: 8+

The Train Team is structured for committed fencers with a competitive focus. The team is recognized for its results at City, Provincial and National level competitions. New fencers learning to train as well as experienced athletes work together to achieve their personal and group goals.

The Train team is for fencers either already competing, or training to compete on the Alberta Provincial Cup Circuit and / or the National Circuit. Train Team fencers continue to participate in City Circuit Events, attend Train Team Meets and train at winter, spring and summer camps.

Train Team members must be registered in the TRAIN Program and practicing at least 2  3 days per week. The team is the starting point for participating in Provincial events. New program fencers should participate in Play and City Circuit Competition Events and will be notified by their coach when they are ready for the Provincial step.

IMPORTANT: Train team members are required to register for and compete our competitive club Priori Fencing Club when competing Provincially or Nationally.

There are camps throughout the summer (July & August) including Summer Intensive Training Camps. Team members should participate in winter, spring and summer camps to support their improvement. Register for camps in the CAMPS section (register early to secure a spot).
EQUIPMENT: Team fencers are required to have all necessary personal equipment to participate in Provincial level competition including pants and a minimum of 3 epee’s.
