White Badge
White Badge is the first step in every child’s fencing journey! (Ages 6-14)
White Badge is designed as an exciting, all-around introduction to the sport of fencing - not focused on the specific events of fencing (épée, foil, or sabre).
Participants will learn foundational skills including basic form, footwork, coordination, and how to play the sport in a fun and supportive environment.
Fencing is a structured, controlled sport, and athletes learn proper movement and techniques from the very beginning - building confidence as they develop.
This program prepares young fencers to advance through our structured Badge Program.

Start From Scratch - No Experience Needed (Ages 13+)
Fencing isn’t just for youngsters - it’s for the young at heart. Whether you are looking for a new challenge or a fun way to stay active, fencing offers a powerful combination of fitness, strategy, and focus. Get started by learning essential techniques, footwork, and the fundamentals needed to confidently step onto the strip.

Come in, give it a try, and see how fun and engaging fencing can be in a welcoming, beginner-friendly environment.
- Free Trials are not offered at all locations each week, click register below for current availability.
- Upon completion of a Fencing Calgary Free Trial, participants age 7-14 have the opportunity to register for a White Badge Class at any one of our locations offered in Communities all over Calgary! (September-June) or attend Private Lesson Blocks (June-August) at our Fencing Calgary South location.
- Youth and Adult (Ages 13+) - Free Trials and Programs are located at our Fencing Calgary South Location ONLY (Unit 12, 6325 12th St SE)

- Experienced, friendly, and caring instructors.
- Fencers will spend their time practicing new skills, fencing on score boxes, and learning all the elements of this exciting new sport!
