Team Meets
Team Meets are half-day events where new participants and experienced Club Team fencers practice together. These events are where teammates get motivated and learn how to practice and play as a team! Team Meets are a fantastic starting point for new participants to join the club team. Simultaneously Team Meets also serve as important training and practice opportunities for experienced team members and are often scheduled as a lead-up to competitions.
Come out, join the team for your age category, and sign up for a team meet to practice and play with various participants in your age category.
PLAY Events
PLAY is a series of recreational, club-based events held throughout the fencing season. There is approximately one event each 6 weeks for each age category. All Fencers participate in the same number of matches, and everyone gets a medal!
All events are held at the Fencing Calgary South facility since all matches are played on electric score boxes. To participate in a PLAY Event fencers have to be on a Club Team (Badge, Youth or Train). Come out, join the team for your age category and SIGN UP AND PLAY!
City Circuit Events
City Circuit Events are a fun and team-oriented step-up from PLAY Events! City Circuits are sanctioned by the Alberta Fencing Association are hosted by Fencing Calgary at various venues in Calgary each season. To participate in a City Circuit fencers have to be on a club team (Badge, Youth or Train). City circuits are divided by age category, so fencers only compete with others in a similar age range. These events are perfect new club team members to have a fun and positive experience beyond play events. City Circuits are very important for experienced club team members at all levels.
