The TRAIN Program is designed for athletes who want to train with purpose, build consistency, and see meaningful progress week after week.
What is the TRAIN Program?
The TRAIN Program is our core structured training program for athletes who are ready to train regularly and continue improving in fencing.
The Train Program Supports 3 Training Pathways:
- Club Training
- Provincial Competitive
- National Competitive
Athletes follow a consistent weekly schedule designed to build skills and confidence over time.
How Athletes Develop
Through regular training, fencers build:
- Strong technical skills
- Tactical understanding through drills and bouts
- Confidence in both training and competition settings
- Discipline and consistency through routine practice
This is where training becomes more focused, more intentional, and progress builds week after week.

Overview & How to Register
The TRAIN Program is designed to be simple, flexible, and easy to plan for:
- Consistent monthly payments throughout the season (September 1 – June 1)
- Option to spread payments into convenient monthly installments
- Monthly cost is based on the training days you choose
- Click the TRAIN Program link in your Amilia account
- Select your athlete’s age group,
- Choose your preferred training day
- You will be prompted to add your second day within the same activity
- Fees are balanced across the season and prorated to reflect holidays
- When registering please make sure to read and accept the added Fencing Calgary Train Program terms and Priori Fencing Club Affiliation, Waiver & Release for each participant
- Multi-registration family discounts are offered

Private Lesson Blocks
A great Year-Round Option
Private Lessons provide one-on-one coaching tailored to each fencer’s goals, experience level, and stage of development. Lessons focus on technique, tactics, and confidence in a supportive, athlete-centred environment.
How Private Lessons Work - All Private Lessons run in structured training blocks:
- September–June: 6-week lesson blocks
- June-August: 3-week lesson blocks
- Same day and time each week
- Registration is required per block

Private Lesson Groups (Ages 6+)
Small Group | 1 Hour Per Weekly Block
Train in a focused group of 3 fencers while receiving dedicated coaching time - 20 minutes of dedicated private coaching per fencer.
Individual Private Lesson Blocks (Ages 11+)
1-on-1 Coaching | 30 Minutes Per Weekly Block
Train one-on-one with a coach for fully personalized development.
Private Lesson are an optional add‑on to regular classes and are a great way for Badge fencers to build confidence, reinforce fundamentals, and progress with extra coached support.
PRO-RATE in at ANY TIME!
Equipment: Bring your own equipment, including Epee or Sabre. If you do not own your own equipment, we will loan you the required items for the lesson.
